Church Leadership

Brother Tray

At Kosmosdale Baptist Church, our commitment to historic Baptist doctrine and practice runs deep. We believe the Bible is our sole authority, and that Christ is sufficient for our every need. We have adopted the 1689 Baptist Confession of Faith as a summary of what we believe the Bible teaches concerning the major doctrines of the Christian faith.

As the Bride of Christ, we believe our mission at Kosmosdale Baptist Church is:

W Worship: Our desire is to worship the true and living God in spirit and truth. Focusing our attention on God, and responding to Him in ways that please Him.
I Instruction: We are devoted to the equipping of the Saints for the work of the ministry.
F Fellowship: Our desire for deep personal relationships to develop through the working of the Holy Spirit in which we practice the “one another’s” found in Scripture.
E Evangelism: We are committed to the preaching of the gospel at home and abroad.

If you would like more information about Kosmosdale, please contact us. We will be happy to answer any question you might have concerning our church. If you are in our area, we invite you to come by and worship with us on the Lord’s Day. We have a wonderful Savior, and we long to see His churches full, that the entire chosen race may with one voice and heart and soul, sing His redeeming Grace.

It is difficult, in just a few words, to share with you concerning God’s church here at Kosmosdale. The Lord placed me in this congregation by His grace and providence in early 1973. The preaching of the gospel, in its fullest content, had a profound effect upon my life and I knew my life would never be the same. There was a period of ten years that passed wherein I had the tremendous privilege of growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

In January 1982, by the grace and mercy of God I was ordained to the office of deacon and by that same grace have been serving since. God, through the preaching of the gospel, must always be the focus and theme of the church of Jesus Christ. We live in a world where men say there is no Absolute Truth, therefore we must never measure the success of the Church by man’s wisdom; we must know that the preaching of the Cross is the wisdom of God and on that solid rock we must stand. Paul said, “For me to live is Christ, to die is gain.” For every believer that is called by His grace, this very attitude should be where he lives, moves and has his being. The apostle Paul spoke to the Corinthians and said, “Oh Corinthians, our heart is opened wide to you concerning the gospel, you are not restrained by us, but you are restrained by your own affections.” The gospel of Christ infiltrates the life of the believer and he becomes a living, vital part of the heavenly kingdom.
My heart’s desire for this congregation is for sinners to come into our midst, repent of their sins, come to Jesus Christ by faith and serve Him in His Church. And through this work of the Holy Spirit, the brethren to be nourished, encouraged and established in the Word of God, the gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I believe that we must be vigilant in protecting and upholding the integrity of God’s Word and His Church. To this I say, “Hallelujah, What a Savior!"

In my many years as a member of this church, the Lord, by His grace, has revealed to me the results of the working of His Spirit upon this body of believers. For the foundation of Christ Jesus has been laid to the salvation of many. The golden structure of God’s word has brought great soundness and stability to His people. God’s Spirit, acting on His word in our hearts, has produced the silver and jewels of a love for Him and for the brethren.

We continue to reach out into our community and the world for the sake of Christ, with His gospel. Our church, again by God’s mercy, has been a source of biblical education that has produced pastors and missionaries who still serve Christ at home and abroad.
In all this, we continue to grow and need to grow in grace and in knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ so that we would be more like Him. Our great desire is to be true worshipers of God in Spirit and in truth, and to see many lost people become the redeemed of God. We hope to be able to minister to your needs either at our church, online, or where you are. Contact us that we might be of benefit to you. All to God’s glory, honor, and praise.

I am a member of Kosmosdale Baptist Church because the Gospel is preached here. I believe the same Truths as the Apostles preached. Christ loved the Church and He gave Himself for it. Christ is the head of the body, the Church. He is the Chief Cornerstone. In Him all fullness dwells.
